Sonja Molchany Associate / Preservation Planner
Sonja holds an M. A. from Cornell University in Historic Preservation Planning and a B. A. in Art History from Carleton College. A member of the National and Washington Trusts for Historic Preservation, she brings a broad range of experience from her decade of work in preservation planning. Working with BOLA since 2004, she has prepared preservation plans, historic and cultural surveys, landmark nominations and SEPA documents for projects throughout western Washington. Sonja served on Seattle’s Pioneer Square Preservation Board in 2006-07.
Sonja’s work includes numerous National Register Historic District and individual building nominations, historic documentation for multi-building properties, Federal Tax Incentive reviews and consultation, and historic structures reports for public and private clients.
